Inside Loan Officer - Killeen, TX

As an Inside Loan Officer, you will act as a trusted partner for our borrowers from the beginning of the loan process to the finish line, with most of your time focused on taking loan applications in person and explaining the loan process to walk-in customers.

Job duties will include:

  • Meeting with customers in the office to take their loan application.

  • Processing their application to determine what they qualify for.

  • Issuing pre-approval notices and following-up with them.

  • Assisting Realtors and Borrowers with making offers on properties.

  • Securing proper documentation and structuring loans for borrowers, including rates and fees for loans.

  • Managing the loan process through closing as the Borrower’s main point of contact.

  • You will originate home loans across Texas, with emphasis on VA loans in the Fort Hood area.

  • You will be supported by a Senior Loan Officer, Loan Specialist, and a Transaction Coordinator/Processor.

  • Generating your own leads is optional.  We have plenty of walk-ins needing assistance.

Minimum requirements for this position include:

  • Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Aptitude to learn new technologies (Experience with Encompass a plus)

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and work under time constraints

  • Be available to work from 9am-5pm with occasional after hours work

  • Must be individually NMLS-licensed prior to start date

  • Salary based on experience and bonuses based on team production
