To sweeten the deal, we’re offering a $500 sign-on bonus , an additional $500 upon passing your SAFE exam , and another $500 when you hit 6 months in the role .

About the role:

As a Loan Specialist (formerly known as Assistant Loan Officer), you will be the initial point of contact for our borrowers, engaging and educating them on their VA benefit, initiating the first step in the home buying journey and setting the stage for a successful partnership. This role is an entry-level position in our company, where mortgage experience is a plus, but not a necessity.  We are eager to teach you all the things you need to know to be successful.

Daytime Loan Specialists  typically work during normal business hours, with some need for evenings and weekends.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contact new borrowers primarily via phone, voicemail, and text to educate and assist them on the loan process, utilizing strong communication and negotiating skills to overcome objections.
  • Conversate with borrowers and obtain and/or verify information and documentation.
  • Evaluate borrower credit for pre-approval or denial of loan applications.
  • Make initial contact and respond promptly to customer inquiries to collect borrower financial and credit information.
  • Process borrower credit information through online approval system.
  • Inform borrowers on future loan documentation requests, including borrowers' income and asset information.
  • Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed.
  • Must be NMLS licensed or become licensed upon employment.
