As a Facilities Specialist, you will be responsible for all physical aspects of the VU and Neighbors Bank office buildings and for monitoring complex building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. You will deliver results with an emphasis on customer service, timeliness, and follow-through. Depending on your assignment, you will focus on one of the following areas:

Job Duties
Boiler and Chiller Rooms:
-
Operate, monitor, and maintain chillers and boilers to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Working knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation of package units, split system, reciprocating chillers, and centrifugal chillers.
-
Perform general repairs, maintenance, and replacement of building components, including chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
-
Evaluate mechanical equipment to determine the need for repair or replacement.
Skills and Knowledge for Boiler and Chiller Rooms:

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and related equipment.
-
At least 3-5 years of Boiler and Chiller experience.
-
At least 2+ years of HVAC experience.
-
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Maintenance:
-
Keeping all Veterans United, Paddio, and/or Neighbors Bank locations in great shape by handling physical maintenance.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems.
-
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.

Manage HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
-
Implement preventive maintenance programs.
-
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
-
Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or water leaks.
-
Maintain and update maintenance logs and work orders.
-
Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

Develop an energy management program. Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.

Assist in space planning and renovation activities along with coordinate and assist in office moves.

Teaming up with the general contractor, building supervisor or skilled trade professionals to resolve maintenance concerns sorted out quickly.

Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

May perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Warehouse:
-
Responsible for physical maintenance of your assigned office locations.
-
Responsible for the physical organization of inventory and for maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions.

Receive and store incoming items to the warehouse and ship any outgoing items.
-
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of project deliverables, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and following up on outstanding tasks.

Coordinate and assist in office moves.
-
Ensure the safety and security of all locations, reporting concerns to Facilities, Security, or Facilities Team Lead.

Work with the Building Supervisor or a skilled trade professional to resolve maintenance concerns.

Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.
