People Services Team Lead

As an Employee Experience Team Lead in our People Services department, you’ll bring projects, programs, and initiatives to life that make Veterans United a great place to work. You’ll do this by focusing on helping employees:

  • Create connections:  Helping employees make friends over shared hobbies, interests, activities, and what they love doing outside of work. Plus, making sure new hires feel welcomed and supported from day one—because a great first impression matters.

  • Celebrate:  Work anniversaries, birthdays, holidays—you name it. The celebrations may evolve, but there’s always something to recognize.

  • Make life a little easier, and more fun:  From sharing resources like discounts to organizing pop-ups, you’ll help lighten the load for our VU family.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Keep the team running smoothly by managing schedules, assigning tasks, and keeping an eye on workloads. You'll also handle things like staffing, team performance, and helping employees grow and develop.

  • Manage complex logistics and planning for all sorts of companywide fun – surprises, swag orders, in-office events/experiences, and more. Coordinate with the right people, purchase supplies, rally the team, and keep communication flowing to bring it all together. That’s how the magic happens!

  • Hopefully, you're a fan of lists because you'll be managing plenty of them. You'll handle research, communication, and tracking for discounts and seasonal offerings. Plus, you'll support employee-led groups, keeping them organized and ensuring they're effectively shared.

  • We don’t roll out a red carpet, but we do set up a red inflatable tube man to celebrate an employee’s first day. From communicating with new hires and leaders to coordinating countless details, you’ll ensure every new hire has a smooth and memorable first-day experience.

  • VU people love staying active. Keep the momentum going by managing fitness schedules, overseeing the in-office fitness spaces and equipment, managing sports leagues and companywide activity challenges.

  • Actively contributes to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

With love and care, you’ll help employees live out our values while leading a team to do the same.
