As a Creative Producer, Editor and Director of Photography, you will craft stories that elevate our brand. This versatile producer, editor and storyteller will work with our Creative Studio Team to develop, hone and execute projects that build and strengthen the Veterans United brand.

This person will play a key role in bringing narratives to life. You'll work in all phases of production, producing, shooting and editing content for internal and external audiences. You'll craft clear stories and work both independently and alongside our Creative Studio Team and other creative stakeholders to deliver measurable, multichannel results. You understand how to capture the perfect composition. You have an excellent eye for detail and an ability to use light to set the tone and mood. Terms like “blocking” are part of your repertoire. You're comfortable shooting in a studio or on-location. Your eye and creative vision will guide an array of branded communications and touchpoints, from creating short-form content for social media to crafting an emotional story that millions of Veteran households could view.

Previous production experience with an advertising agency, studio or in-house marketing team is preferred.

We also want to see:

  • A strong portfolio of exceptional work that demonstrates your shooting, lighting, editing and storytelling abilities.

  • A technically savvy problem solver able to adapt to various situations while shooting.

  • An ability to craft compelling content that connects with the target audience to achieve prescribed goals and objectives.

  • An ability to visualize a script, create a shot list and block out shots.

  • A love for collaboration, brainstorming and teamwork.

We’re looking for someone who can be passionate about their job and have fun doing it, who will deliver results with integrity, and who enjoys finding ways to enhance the lives of others every day.

We’ll also want to know you can demonstrate these attributes:

  • 5+ years of production experience

  • Degree in Film, Visual Arts, Photography, Design or Fine Arts

  • Expert knowledge of Non-Linear Editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

  • Knowledge of video codecs, compression, and transcoding (Adobe Media Encoder)

  • Knowledge of audio editing software (Adobe Audition)

  • A plus if you know Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop

  • Strong technical knowledge of camera operation (Cinema Cameras, Camcorders, DSLR's - i.e., Arri, Red Cinema, Sony, Canon, Panasonic)

  • Knowledge of sound equipment (lavalier mics, booms, shotguns, mixers and field recorders)

  • Strong understanding of lighting
