Systems Administrator - Okta

As a Systems Administrator, you are responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Okta within the Information Security Team. Your primary role is to ensure the operation of various hardware and software platforms throughout the infrastructure environment.

Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:

  • Assist software engineering teams with the development of Okta implementations.

  • Assist existing Okta admin(s) with business (internal B2B) Okta implementations

  • Help manage Identity and Access Management and Least Privilege Access for Okta admins.

  • Informing software engineers of best Okta practices.

  • Work with the SOC security team to help investigate security incidents.

  • Work with software engineers when issues arise.

  • Support, develop, and maintain technical specification documentation.

  • Work in a team setting to develop strategies for Okta implementations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, excluding licensed activity.

  • Application administration.

  • Experience with systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, and various cloud based SSO products.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to manage time and multitask.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Proven ability to learn new concepts, tools, languages, and techniques quickly.

  • Demonstrated work ethic and highly self-motivated.

  • Ability to vet potential projects for value, identify project barriers/obstacles.

  • Thrive in a highly cooperative work setting.

  • Excel in fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.

  • Ability to troubleshoot throughout the OSI model.

  • Experience collaborating and gather requirements from both technical and business-facing teams.

  • Demonstrate technical related experience.

  • Ability to communicate with 3rd party vendors in order to maintain system ability.

  • Experience with a programming language.

  • Experience with Terraform or have the ability to learn.

  • Experience with Team Foundation Services or other change management software.
