While a specific degree or mortgage background isn't required, we're looking for self-motivated people with experience managing a sales pipeline, building relationships, and delivering results. This base plus commission role rewards performance with uncapped earning potential. Most Loan Officers earn $70,000 to $80,000 in their first year. By year three, top performers earn around $145,000, with earning potential exceeding $300,000 by year five.

Being a Loan Officer at First Residential is unlike any other role. Think of it as combining the best of sales, customer service, and financial expertise. You'll play a crucial role in helping borrowers navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives: buying a home. This isn't just a desk job. It's a high energy, high impact position where your determination and hustle directly influence your success.
Our marketing team works hard to bring in fresh leads, so most of the people you call have already expressed interest. Your job is to build trust, understand their financial goals, and guide them to the loan solution that's right for them. The schedule offers flexibility, but success comes from consistently putting in the effort to meet and exceed your goals.
Most of the work happens in the office, where collaboration, coaching, and healthy competition create an environment that helps everyone succeed. It's challenging work, but helping someone achieve homeownership makes it incredibly rewarding.
Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:
- Connect with qualified leads, build trust, and show borrowers why First Residential is the right lending partner.
- Review financial information and guide borrowers to the loan solution that best fits their needs.
- Manage loan applications and documentation, keeping each file moving efficiently from application through closing.
- Walk borrowers through every step of the mortgage process while structuring loan options, rates, and fees that best meet their goals.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting teammates and sharing in each other's success.
About You:

- You're a salesperson at your core. You're confident picking up the phone, building relationships, and turning opportunities into results.

- You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and provide exceptional service to borrowers and teammates.

- You lead with honesty, transparency, and integrity, always doing what's right for borrowers, teammates, and the business.
- You'll need to become NMLS licensed, and we'll help you obtain your license when you join the team.
