Part-Time Customer Service Representative (Saturday & Sunday, 7am - 3pm)

Whether you come from a background in customer service, retail, hospitality, or call center support, you can be successful in this role. We don’t require a specific degree or experience, but we’re looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About The Role:

As a Customer Service Representative at Veterans United, you’ll be the friendly voice helping callers get connected to the right resources and answers they need. Whether you’re answering general questions, helping someone make a mortgage payment, or guiding callers to the right department, your goal is to make every interaction feel helpful, supportive, and easy.

Our Customer Service Center isn’t your typical call center. It’s fast-paced, team-oriented, and built around people who genuinely care about each other and the customers we serve. You’ll work alongside co-workers who celebrate wins together, support one another, and create a welcoming environment where connection matters.

To best serve our callers, our Customer Service Center operates 24/7, giving us the flexibility to support people whenever they need it. We offer a variety of shifts to fit different schedules, and you’ll be assigned one shift when you join the team. This is a part-time position, perfect for those looking to balance work with other commitments.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for borrowers over the phone, delivering a friendly and supportive experience for both customers and co-workers.

  • Answering general questions about the VA loan process while following company and industry guidelines.

  • Gathering basic borrower information and connecting callers with the right teams to help move things forward smoothly.

  • Assisting borrowers with mortgage payments and processing debit transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Handling a variety of support tasks like emails, document processing, or clerical work depending on your assigned shift.

  • Helping create a positive team culture by jumping in where needed and supporting your fellow co-workers.

About You:

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy staying busy while helping others.

  • You’re a strong communicator who knows how to make people feel heard, supported, and valued over the phone.

  • Multitasking comes naturally to you, and you can stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.

  • You enjoy working with a collaborative team and contribute positively to group success.

  • You handle challenging situations with patience, professionalism, and empathy.

  • You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.

  • Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right person with a strong attitude and willingness to learn.

About Us:

We’re all about helping Veterans and military families become homeowners. In two short decades, we closed over 500,000 VA Loans and became the #1 VA lender for homebuyers in the nation. But to us, success isn’t measured in numbers. Our success is measured in living our values every day: Be Passionate and Have Fun, Deliver Results with Integrity and Enhance Lives Every Day. We always strive to provide friendly service to military homebuyers and their families. And we always seek to lift up people and communities across the country.

We’re so glad you’re here checking out this opportunity!  If this role gets you excited but you’re worried you don’t check every box – don't sweat it. We’re more interested in what you can bring to the team than a perfect checklist. If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.  Come as you are, and together we’ll create something amazing.
