Our Software Engineering teams work in small, intimate groups, which creates product ownership. Each individual brings value and is invested in the products they are developing. As a team, you are expected to truly practice full-stack development – from generating the idea to delivering the product. We practice paired-programming in a unique way where one Engineer writes the line of code, one breaks it.
Growth from within is not only important in Software Engineering but throughout all of Veterans United. We strive to provide teammates with the tools and resources to develop professional and personally. Taking advantage of these tools has opened the door to leadership and management roles for many employees in our department.
While this process can vary by opening, we use a combination of technical assessment tools and conversations/panels with peers to determine the best fit.
Keep an eye out for internship postings by semester! If any positions are available, you can find them under open positions.
